anna (danny) weber, LCMHCA
I am a White, pan-sexual, queer, non-binary counselor who grew up in the Midwest. I spent multiple years in organizing and activist communities, which informs how I imagine change as a part of therapy and the world at large. My counseling experience stems from working with womxn with substance use disorders and TLGBQ+ folx. The mental health experiences that we have worked through together include complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger management, borderline, bipolar, ADHD, identity exploration, gender-affirming services, relationship issues, life transitions, and grief/loss. Overall, I identify as an anti-oppressive therapist who believes healing is a crucial form of intra- and interpersonal justice. I recognize systems and communities as factors that underly mental health concerns and as spaces that we can reclaim to heal together. I hold humility, safety, trust, warmth, and communication as primary values. Especially recognizing power dynamics between therapist and client, I strive to empower and support people to create their own definitions of and pathways to healing. I specifically offer an intersection of feminist, liberational, narrative, and mindfulness practices with clients. I believe these approaches can help us create new worlds, perspectives, hopes, and senses of peace.
