Training Fellowship - Fall 2023-Spring 2024 (Applications are closed)
Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Queer and Trans/GNC/NB folx are highly encouraged to apply.
The Radical Healing Collaborative is excited to offer year-long clinical training fellowships for graduate students in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, and Counseling Psychology. Students will participate in a generalist training model, ultimately exposing them to a wide variety of clinical concerns, treatment modalities, and multimodal learning opportunities. Our internship program is designed to ensure all participants excel during their time with us, as each fellowship recipient is expected to directly participate in shaping their education and training contributions.
We invite applications from motivated graduate students who are independent, interpersonally curious, and open to constructive feedback. Additionally, we are particularly interested in working with and learning from conscientious students with a passion for clinical theory and social justice praxis.
Learning activities include:
Trainees will be exposed to Cognitive Behavioral, Relational, and Psychodynamic theories to support a diverse range of clients with marginalized identities, including folx from intersectional queer, trans and GNC identities. The fellowship program at Radical Healing trains clinicians to practice from an anti-oppression and anti-racist praxis. Service provision includes, on average, 15-20 hours of individual counseling (in-person and telehealth) sessions each week, in addition to planning and leading groups. Successful applicants will have experience with diagnostic assessment, triage response, exposure to diverse clinical theories, and effective management of administrative tasks (e.g., progress notes).
We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2023-Spring 2024. We plan to invite 6-10 fellows to join us for our training fellowship. For full consideration, applicants should electronically submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae/resume, sample case note with a theoretical conceptualization, and an academic transcript by February 1, 2023 for first consideration and on a rolling basis through June 30, 2023. Upon applying, applicants will receive an e-mail notification confirming receipt of materials. In the cover letter, please clearly summarize learning goals and how you are a fit for our program.
The minimum commitment for our training program is Fall and Spring semesters. Applicants who can commit to continued work during the summer months will be prioritized during the committee review process. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Formal interviews and an option to tour campus will be extended to those who advance in the review process. Written offers will be extended no later than April 7, 2023.
Application materials should be submitted electronically to the Training Director, Marvice Marcus, PhD, HSP-P, (marvice@radicalhealing.us). Post-doctoral fellowships are available on a case-by-case basis and contingent upon organizational capacity. Interested applicants should contact the Training Director.
