So many of us feel pressured to hide our emotions and perform okayness, no matter the cost to our mental health. Let’s create a space together where you feel free to be real. I will meet you where you are with curiosity, warmth and acceptance. My practice is client-centered, which means that I respect you as the author and expert of your own lived experience. I am anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I also bring the values of anti-oppression, Health at Every Size, and Disability Justice to my work. My experience as a grief counselor working with individuals, groups and hospice workers has been instrumental in shaping my approach. Grief arises not just when someone dies, but in response to any type of change: in our identities, careers and relationships, to broader social and political crises like systemic racism and climate change.
I also have extensive training supporting people living with chronic illness and their caregivers. Whether coping with a new diagnosis, adjusting to survivorship or preparing for the end-of-life, it’s an honor to
walk beside my clients as they navigate these changes.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from Hunter College in New York City. I’m so happy to be back home in the south and grateful to be a part of the Radical Healing collective! Click here to learn more about Ray.

I am a white cisgender queer woman who is passionate about human rights and take an active stance in social justice concerns as a clinician and an advocate. I utilize feminist and multicultural counseling approaches to assist clients in dismantling internalized capitalism, misogyny, gender norms, racism, homophobia, fatphobia, and other systemic shame limiting mental well-being. I focus on creating a liberating space where clients feel seen and safe enough to engage with vulnerability; I present as my authentic self as a clinician to dispel potential power differentials and facilitate the most therapeutically beneficial relationship possible.
I have experience guiding children, adolescents, and adults through collaborative treatment addressing a multitude of presentations including but not limited to general anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, depression, personality disorders, neurodivergence, behavioral concerns, and trauma. My clinical interests include addressing shame, body images concerns, identity exploration, assertiveness training, interpersonal relationships, and inner child work through dialectical behavior and schema therapy. I recognize the importance of preventative work in addition to the beforementioned healing work and engage in positive reinforcement parent training and behavioral management work with children struggling with dysregulation. No matter the age or concerns, I am constantly honored and humbled when clients trust me with their emotions, identities, and life
experiences. At the end of the day, my priority as a clinician is to meet clients where they are at and make them feel seen, supported, and empowered.
To truly prioritize mental well-being and community strength, we must maintain moments of joy and rest. I believe in the power of play and mindfulness as healing components no matter our age and incorporate creative interventions within therapy to engage with child-like wonder and reprieve. This includes guided imagery, body work, art activities, narrative techniques, and games. Which happen to include a lot of my own interests outside of the counseling space! I love all things creative, like ceramics, painting, woodworking; in addition to this, I love spending time with my loved ones, getting outside with my dog, and anything that has to do with dinosaurs. I am a queer, femme, cisgender Afro-Cuban LCSW. I have been in private practice in Durham for 9 years and am honored to be at Radical Healing! My training and experience in couple therapy includes working with couples in relationship distress as well as with those who are looking for relationship enhancement, providing sex therapy including the use of the sensate focus method, conducting premarital counseling, and using evidenced-based treatment for couples facing individual stressors, such as the mental or physical illness of one partner (e.g. obsessive compulsive disorder, anorexia nervosa, breast cancer). I have significant training in several styles of individual therapy including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as insight-oriented therapies and psychodynamic perspectives. My more recent training in somatic approaches and mindful self-compassion complement my certification in yoga and mindfulness instruction to create a holistic approach to mental health. I have also recently been trained in leading others in writing for health, through Duke Integrative Medicine, and enjoy incorporating creative journaling into therapeutic work. My work addresses a wide variety of issues, including anxiety and depression, life transitions, trauma, identity and self-esteem issues, relational issues, as well more specialized issues such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. My therapeutic style is warm and engaged, and I take a client-centered and anti-oppression approach to my work. I have significant experience working with folks of all sexual orientations and gender expressions, those practicing non-monogamy, people of color, folks from many different backgrounds, and folks in bodies of different sizes, shapes, and abilities. I believe a compassionate respectful orientation toward understanding, hearing, and believing each person’s unique reality as a human is the most important foundation for any healing to happen. In addition to psychotherapy for individuals and couples, I also hold workshops and classes on yoga, writing, and self-compassion practices. I also offer private yoga and mindfulness instruction, and private sessions guiding expressive writing techniques. Click here to learn more about Jasmine.

When working with clients, I aim to fully understand their story to help them further understand
themselves. Living as a sexual, gender, religious, and racial minority means I sit at the intersections of multiple
marginalized identities. My lived experiences have led me to foster abolitionist radical healing predominantly in QTPOC (queer and trans people of color) communities. I deeply believe that we navigate the world as authors of our epic adventures, which shape our identities and self-concepts.
My therapy style combines narrative and feminist techniques to provide each client with empowering
tools to craft their story. Through this approach, we can work together to make space for and understand your lived experience in our sessions. As your therapist, I aim to help you use your history to shift your present narrative. We can do this by honoring not only the factors that influence you -- but the factors that you influence. In doing so, I hope we can use our sessions to build a foundation to write and rewrite your story confidently and continuously.
To expand my knowledge and better support my clients, I have additional training in human sexuality and gender, traumatology, radical healing, abolitionist psychology, and embodied approaches (i.e., focusing on the body’s physiological processes). I know that supportive communities help foster supported individuals, so I have also taken the time to learn from abolitionist organizations in the South about the principles, applications, and values of utilizing transformative justice as an approach to
community harm and conflict in and out of therapy. My therapeutic focus often includes identity development, interpersonal processing, emotional processing, trauma, intracommunal conflict, grief, anxiety, and depression. In my free time, I find time to play by gardening, hiking, singing, roller skating, and more recently, learning how to forage.
I am currently under the supervision of David Young Oh, LCMHC. Click here to learn more about Iman.

I'm a white, nonbinary, neurodivergent person who was raised in North Carolina. Growing up as a queer person in a conservative community has instilled in me a lifelong passion for social justice.
My primary counseling modalities are person-centered and cultural relational therapy. I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives, and that their identities have a profound effect on their experiences and mental health. I also believe in the power of connection and vulnerability to heal us from isolation and shame.

I enjoy working with clients with marginalized identities, particularly LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns, including self-esteem issues, identity exploration, trauma, and relational issues. Grief arises not just when someone dies, but in response to any type of change: in our identities, careers and relationships, to broader social and political crises like systemic racism and climate change.

experiences.
I became a clinical social worker because I know how helpful it can be to have a space, set aside specifically for you, where you can bring your joys and stresses and leave with tools and power.I work with children, adults, and couples and I have 7 years of experience supporting predominantly queer and trans clients and people of color. I additionally enjoy supporting clients in polyamorous or kink-based relationship dynamics.
My clinical approach is to work with you to figure out how you see yourself now, what you want to be different, and how you want to get there. I am excited to support you in developing your own truth about who you are, or who you want to be, once you have had some time and support to sift through your beliefs about yourself and where those beliefs come from.

I am a black queer femme therapist who works primarily with LGBTQ+ or QTPOC individuals, couples, and families to help them build and better their lives and relationships. I have have always had a passion for helping others. In addition, I have been a facilitator and counselor for the majority of my life, starting in college when I began developing diverse and inclusive sex education programs in New Jersey and Maryland working with LGBTQ+ counseling organizations. Since becoming a therapist, I have realized that helping people on an individual level is only a part of my passion. I am focused on creating better systems whether it be with clients, couples, families or companies; my idea of a healthy self includes having a personal and professional balance. I enjoy meditation, and use body scanning and coaching heavily in practice.

My main goal as a counselor is to create a warm and inclusive space where you can share your authentic self and experience unconditional acceptance. I enjoy working with clients with marginalized identities, particularly LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns, including self-esteem issues, identity exploration, trauma, and relational issues. Outside of work, I enjoy cultivating houseplants, crocheting, playing video games, and cuddling with my dogs. If you think I would be a good fit for you I would be honored to get to know you!
